Embrace the Serenity of Nature

Discover the joy in nature with our guided walks, designed to connect you with the tranquility and wonder of the natural world.

At Joy in Nature, based in Surrey,  we offer enriching and rewarding social experiences centred around the power of nature.

Why Our Nature Walks Stand Out

Our nature walks offer something beyond regular fitness activities. Forest bathing encourages a unique connection with nature. It also allows us to stand still and be serene and at peace with ourselves. At Joy in Nature, we focus on connecting  with the power and serenity of nature, fostering a sense of peace and well-being that extends beyond the walk itself.

Deeper Connection

Through Mindfulness

We ensure each walk connects participants with nature on a deeper level through meditation and mindfulness. These practices help you to become more present in the moment, appreciating the beauty and subtleties of our natural environment.  What makes us different is that all of our walks are about co-collaborating with nature and developing a deep sense of the our  place within the wonder of the natural world around us. With our full commitment to having small size walking groups for all the activities we offer, we are able to provide an enriching and rewarding social experience for those who join our nature walks.

What are the benefits of Shinrin Yoku?

Spending time in nature has a positive impact on all aspects of our health (physical, emotional and mental). Because everyone is equal in nature, being outside and being surrounded by nature is a nourishing experience and can often be a balm for us and therefore helps to promote all parts of our wellbeing.

Research indicates that time spent in nature enormously reduces the levels of cortisol in the body (stress hormone), significantly reduces high levels of blood pressure and improves sleep.  It is often reported from people who have participated in Shinrin Yoku that their sleep quality improves by an average of 54 minutes every night and falling asleep is an easier process.  It has also been proven that there is an elevated amount of NK cells after one day spent in an open natural space. All these natural  health benefits are known to last for up to one month after the Shinrin Yoku experience.
